In a recent crackdown on drug activities conducted via the popular chat app, Telegram, five Singaporeans, three of whom are teenagers, were apprehended by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB). The suspects, aged between 17 and 21, are believed to be involved in drug trafficking operations.

On September 27, CNB officers carried out operations at various locations across Singapore. Their efforts led to the arrest of the suspects and the seizure of a significant amount of drugs, weapons, and cash.
The confiscated drugs, which include approximately 204g of Ice, 143g of cannabis, 12 Ecstasy pills, 12g of ketamine, and a bottle of liquid substance believed to be controlled drugs, are estimated to be worth around $71,000. Additionally, cash amounting to $3,600 and various drug paraphernalia were recovered.
Boon Lay Drive Incident
In a dramatic turn of events at a residential unit in Boon Lay Drive, officers were forced to enter the premises as a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old girl inside refused to comply with orders to open the door. Upon inspection, the man’s vehicle parked in a nearby open-air carpark was found to contain a knuckle duster, knife, and a variety of drugs including Ice, cannabis, ketamine, and Ecstasy pills.
Boon Lay Avenue Arrest
Later in the evening, an 18-year-old boy was arrested at a residential unit in Boon Lay Avenue. A search of his luxury car parked in a nearby multi-storey carpark revealed a stash of drugs, including Ice, cannabis, and Ecstasy pills, as well as a digital weighing scale and other drug paraphernalia.
Jurong West Street Incident
In a separate incident on the same evening in Jurong West Street 93, a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were arrested at a residential unit. The officers had to forcefully gain entry as the suspects refused to cooperate. Several weapons were seized from the premises.
