In a groundbreaking move, Porsche has chosen Singapore as the venue for the global unveiling of its highly anticipated electric SUV, the Macan, on January 25. This event marks the first time Singapore has hosted the international debut of a major automotive model, showcasing the city-state’s growing significance in the global automotive industry.

The electric Macan is a continuation of Porsche’s successful SUV line, first introduced in 2014 with a combustion engine. The new battery-powered version maintains the iconic Macan name but brings significant advancements in size, weight, and performance, characteristic of electric vehicles (EVs).
Model Variants and Pricing
Porsche has announced two initial variants of the electric Macan. The entry-level Macan 4 is priced from $254,888 (excluding the Certificate of Entitlement and additional options) and offers an impressive driving range of up to 613km. For those seeking more power, the Macan Turbo is available from $388,088, boasting a range of 591 km on a single charge. Despite the introduction of these electric models, Porsche plans to continue selling the combustion-engined Macans, with prices ranging from $269,088 to $389,588, excluding COE and options.

The launch of the electric Macan aligns with Porsche’s ambitious strategy to electrify its lineup, with the goal of electric models constituting over 80% of its new car sales by 2030.
