A heart-wrenching incident occurred in Taman Jurong, Singapore, on January 30, 2024, when a 12-year-old girl lost her life after being struck by a van along Yuan Ching Road. The accident, which took place in the vicinity of local schools, has left the community in mourning.
The Incident
The accident was reported in the afternoon, around 3:50 pm, near Jurong Secondary School and Yuvabharathi International School. Despite prompt response from the Singapore Civil Defence Force, the young girl was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Another individual involved was conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital for medical attention.
Response and Investigation
