Starting March 18, students attending schools in the vicinity of Teck Whye Crescent will enjoy enhanced connectivity with the introduction of a new bus service, 983M. Specifically designed to cater to the morning peak period rush, this supplementary service aims to facilitate a smoother and more efficient commute for students.

Focused Service for Educational Institutions

The beneficiary institutions of this new route include Teck Whye Primary School, Chua Chu Kang Secondary School, and Jurong Pioneer Junior College, ensuring that students from these educational bodies have reliable transportation options right to their doorsteps.

Strategic Route and Schedule

Service 983M will commence its journey from Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5, directly opposite Block 486, making its way to the strategically placed schools along Teck Whye Crescent. To accommodate the morning school rush, two trips have been scheduled at 6.40am and 7.00am respectively, ensuring students arrive on time for their classes.

Alighting Convenience and Operational Days

The service concludes at a newly established bus stop after Teck Whye Walk, designed exclusively for alighting passengers. This stop is conveniently located in close proximity to the three schools, minimizing walking distances for students. It’s important to note that the 983M service will be in operation exclusively on weekdays during the school term, with a pause during school and public holidays to align with the academic calendar.
