Singapore’s Punggol Digital District is set to redefine urban development with its focus on sustainability and modern living. This upcoming business park, sprawling over 50 hectares—equivalent to the size of 70 football fields—is pioneering a new era of smart infrastructure integrated with a strong environmental ethos.

Emphasis on Electric Vehicles and Cycling

In a bid to promote eco-friendly transportation, the district will feature an impressive array of 96 electric vehicle (EV) chargers in its initial phase, with plans to expand to 151 chargers. This initiative will position the Punggol Digital District as the leader in EV charging infrastructure within Singapore. The district’s commitment to green transport doesn’t end there; it will also include 1,500 bicycle parking lots complemented by convenient facilities such as lockers and shower rooms, supporting a ‘car-lite’ lifestyle that encourages cycling and other forms of sustainable transport.

Sustainable Architectural Design

Beyond transportation, the Punggol Digital District is designed to be a beacon of energy efficiency and minimal environmental impact. The infrastructure will include super-low energy buildings that adhere to rigorous standards for energy use, setting benchmarks for future developments not only in Singapore but globally.
