Celebrate the Opening of TEL Stage 4 with Free Rides
On June 21, Singaporeans are invited to explore the newly completed Stage 4 of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) for free during a special preview event. This celebration occurs two days before the official opening, allowing the public to experience the convenience and connectivity of the extended line.
Explore New Stations on the Route
The TEL Stage 4 extension includes seven new stations: Tanjong Rhu, Katong Park, Tanjong Katong, Marine Parade, Marine Terrace, Siglap, and Bayshore. These additions significantly enhance access to residential and recreational areas, promising easier commutes for many residents.
How to Participate in the Free Ride Event
During the preview, from noon to 9 PM, passengers can enjoy free rides between these stations. To take advantage of the free rides, passengers should board the shuttle train service at Gardens by the Bay station, which connects directly to Tanjong Rhu station.
To access the shuttle service, riders need to alight at Gardens by the Bay station, tap out at the designated fare gates near the passenger service center, and follow signs to the shuttle train platform. Shuttle trains will operate approximately every eight minutes, ensuring that visitors can freely explore all the new stations during the event.
