By 2025, electric vehicle (EV) owners in Singapore will have greater access to fast chargers at public commercial carparks owned by the Housing Board. These chargers, rated at either 30 kilowatts (kW) or 50kW, are set to enhance the convenience of EV charging across the island.

Locations and Contractors

The fast chargers will be installed at various locations including Taman Jurong Shopping Centre, Woodlands Civic Centre, and Limbang Shopping Centre in Choa Chu Kang. The contracts for these installations have been awarded to CDG Engie, owned by ComfortDelGro, and Volt Singapore, owned by Keppel.

Coverage and Scope

EV-Electric Charging (EVe), a subsidiary of the Land Transport Authority responsible for overseeing the deployment of EV chargers in Singapore, announced on June 14 that the new contracts will cover a total of 20 sites. These sites will primarily be located at HDB commercial complexes and other publicly accessible carparks, further bolstering the country’s EV charging infrastructure.
