Attempt to Smuggle Snakes Foiled

The incident occurred as the traveler tried to cross from semi-autonomous Hong Kong into the border city of Shenzhen, according to a statement by China Customs on Tuesday.
Details of the Seizure
Customs officers intercepted the man and discovered a total of 104 snakes, including milk snakes and corn snakes, many of which are non-native species. The smuggling attempt was thwarted at the border, preventing the illegal reptiles from entering mainland China.
