Fire Breaks Out at HDB Hub in Basement Bin Centre
A fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon, October 2, at the HDB Hub located in Toa Payoh. The blaze originated in the Basement 3 bin centre of the building, involving discarded items contained within a skip bin.
One Person Assessed After Incident
One individual reported feeling unwell and was assessed by a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedic on-site. The person declined to be taken to the hospital for further treatment.
Fire Quickly Extinguished, Cause Under Investigation
The SCDF confirmed that the fire was quickly extinguished. Investigations are currently underway to determine the cause of the fire, while operations at the HDB Hub resumed without further incident.
