Body of 76-Year-Old Singaporean Retired Teacher Found Near Mount Everest
The body of 76-year-old Singaporean Harry Tan, a retired teacher who went missing while hiking near Mount Everest, was discovered on Friday morning, October 4. Mr. Tan had been missing since last Thursday while trekking near the Kongma La Pass, a popular trail located south of Everest Base Camp.
Singapore’s MFA Providing Support to the Family
Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has confirmed that it will continue to provide consular assistance to Mr. Tan’s family through the Singapore High Commission in New Delhi. The tragic discovery brings an end to the search efforts, offering some closure to the family during this difficult time.
