Mississippi and Kansas: Significant Losses
In Mississippi, six fatalities were reported across three counties, with numerous injuries and substantial property damage. Kansas faced a tragic dust storm-induced pileup on Interstate 70, resulting in eight deaths.

Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas also reported casualties and injuries. In Arkansas, three deaths and 29 injuries occurred, prompting Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders to declare a state of emergency. Oklahoma battled wildfires exacerbated by strong winds, leading to one death and significant property loss.
