On the morning of April 25, 2025, a Royal Thai Police aircraft tragically crashed into the sea near Hua Hin, resulting in the deaths of all six officers on board. The incident occurred during a routine test flight in preparation for parachute training exercises.
The Incident
The aircraft, identified as a Viking DHC-6 Twin Otter, took off from Hua Hin Airport around 8:00 AM local time. Shortly after departure, the plane crashed approximately 100 meters offshore, breaking into two upon impact. Five officers died at the scene, and the sixth, the pilot, succumbed to injuries later at the hospital.
