Starting July 1, the temporary surcharges for taxi rides from Changi Airport and Mandai Wildlife Reserve attractions will become permanent. These surcharges were initially introduced in 2022 and will now be a standard part of the fare structure.
Changi Airport Surcharges
Passengers taking a taxi from Changi Airport, Changi Airport Freight Centre, Airport Police Station, and the Airport Logistics Park of Singapore will continue to pay an additional $8 surcharge for rides between 5pm and 11.59pm. For rides at other times, the surcharge will be $6.
Mandai Wildlife Reserve Surcharges
For taxi rides originating from the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, and Bird Paradise, passengers will incur a $5 surcharge for pickups between 1pm and 11.59pm. This is an increase from the current $3 surcharge for pickups at Mandai Wildlife Reserve attractions during these hours.
Fare Impact
These permanent surcharge adjustments are aimed at managing the demand for taxi services at these popular locations, ensuring the availability of rides for passengers during peak hours.
