Scoot’s Continued Success
Budget carrier Scoot, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has been awarded the title of the world’s best long-haul low-cost airline for 2024 at the Skytrax World Airline Awards on Monday, June 24. This marks the fourth consecutive year Scoot has received this prestigious recognition. Additionally, Malaysian carrier AirAsia was named the best low-cost carrier for the 15th consecutive time.
Top Airline Rankings
In a competitive race for the top spot, Qatar Airways has edged out Singapore Airlines (SIA) to be named the best airline in the world for 2024. SIA, which held the top position in 2023, was pushed to second place by its chief competitor. The two airlines have been alternating in the top ranks, with Qatar Airways previously securing the top spot in 2022 before being surpassed by SIA the following year.
