In a catastrophic series of events, wind-driven wildfires have ravaged South Korea’s southeastern regions, resulting in significant loss of life and widespread destruction.

As of March 26, 2025, at least 24 individuals have lost their lives due to the wildfires. The deceased include a helicopter pilot and several elderly residents who were unable to evacuate in time.
