In an unprecedented show of support, a Singapore-based charity’s fundraising initiative for Gaza has amassed a record-breaking $8.1 million. Launched in October 2023 by the Rahmatan Lil Alamin (Blessings to all) Foundation (RLAF), the campaign saw generous contributions flow in from October 19 to November 17, marking the foundation’s most successful drive to date.

Masagos Zulkifli, the Minister for Social and Family Development, announced that the collected funds have been fully transferred to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). The announcement was made during an event at the Assyafaah Mosque on March 9, where the minister expressed gratitude towards the community for their overwhelming generosity. RLAF echoed this sentiment in a Facebook post, thanking all contributors for their support in providing essential aid, including health, relief, and shelter, to the affected communities in Gaza.
