Marina Bay Sands (MBS) has unexpectedly announced the cancellation of its highly anticipated drone show, “The Legend Of The Dragon Gate – Drone Show by the Bay,” initially scheduled for February 6th at 8 pm. The abrupt cancellation, attributed to “unforeseen circumstances,” left many looking forward to the spectacle at the Marina Bay waterfront in disappointment.
Sudden Change of Plans
The cancellation was made public through a Facebook post by MBS around 2 pm on the same day, leaving little notice for those who had planned their evening around the event. While the specific reasons for the cancellation remain undisclosed, MBS extended its apologies for any inconvenience caused by the sudden change.
Chinese New Year Celebrations Continue
Despite the setback with the drone show, MBS reassured that the Chinese New Year light-up event would proceed as planned at 7.30 pm. The light-up event, part of the broader festivities to celebrate the Lunar New Year at Marina Bay Sands, promises to offer its own array of attractions and visual delights for visitors.
Rescheduled Drone Shows
To make up for the cancellation, MBS has rescheduled the first drone show for February 10th, ensuring that visitors and locals alike will still have the opportunity to witness the high-tech display later in the week. Additional drone shows are also planned for February 11th, 12th, 16th, 17th, and 18th, all slated for 8 pm, providing multiple chances to experience the aerial spectacle.
