A new 255-room hotel under the Hotel Indigo brand is set to open at Changi Airport Terminal 2 (T2) by 2028, marking the arrival of a new accommodation option at one of the world’s busiest airports. This project comes a year later than initially projected but is expected to add significant value to the airport’s landside offerings.

Contract Awarded to OUE Limited

Changi Airport Group (CAG) announced on April 26 that the contract to develop and lease the new hotel has been awarded to OUE Limited, a real estate group with experience in the hospitality sector. OUE Limited also owns the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport hotel located at Terminal 3.

Location and Accessibility

The new hotel, named Hotel Indigo Changi Airport, will be situated above the coach stand at the southern end of T2. It will be directly accessible from the terminal’s departure hall via a convenient linkway, providing easy access for travelers and airport visitors alike.

Singapore’s First Zero-Energy Hotel

Hotel Indigo Changi Airport is being touted as Singapore’s first “zero-energy” hotel, indicating a commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. This aligns with broader trends in the hospitality industry focusing on environmentally friendly practices.

Third Landside Hotel at Changi Airport

With the addition of Hotel Indigo Changi Airport, the airport will have three landside hotels, enhancing the convenience and comfort for transit passengers and visitors. The new hotel is expected to cater to a diverse range of guests, from business travelers to tourists seeking unique boutique accommodations.

The announcement of Hotel Indigo’s opening comes as Changi Airport continues to expand its facilities and services, reinforcing its reputation as a premier global travel hub.
