Singapore is set to host the world’s largest light and multimedia show, “illumi,” from September 13, 2024. This event marks illumi’s international debut and will transform the Bayfront Event Ground into a mesmerizing landscape filled with vibrant light installations and immersive experiences.
What to Expect at illumi
illumi will feature a staggering 20 million LED lights spread across nine themed worlds. These include:
- The Enchanted Maples: A display inspired by Canadian maple trees, complete with glowing leaves and sweet treats from the Sugar Shack.
- Wall of Lights: A winter wonderland with shimmering snowflakes and twinkling light curtains.
- Puppies and Kitties: Over 200 illuminated animal structures, creating a harmonious and adorable environment.
- The Magical Forest: A dazzling array of multicolored trees and majestic wildlife.
- Jurassic Kingdom: Prehistoric creatures brought to life through light and animatronics.
- Dune Palace: A display reminiscent of the Sahara, featuring genies and floating carpets.
The centerpiece of the event is the illumi Tree of Light, standing at an impressive 47 meters tall, equivalent to five stacked Merlions. This tree will illuminate the surrounding area and be accompanied by a magical carousel.

illumi is dedicated to sustainability, utilizing energy-efficient lighting technologies and recycled materials for its installations. This commitment ensures that while the event dazzles visitors, it also minimizes its environmental impact.

Tickets for illumi are priced from S$33 and can be purchased through TremTix and Pelago. Early bird discounts are available for DBS/POSB credit and debit cardholders until August 31, 2024.
