After successfully delivering significant aid to Gaza, the Singaporean charity “Humanity Matters” is embarking on a new fundraising initiative to support the ongoing crisis in the region.

Vital Aid Delivered

In a recent mission, the charity successfully organized the delivery of 40 tonnes of essential supplies, valued at approximately $135,000, to the beleaguered residents of Gaza. This considerable effort involved the airdropping of 25 tonnes of food staples over two days, with the remaining 15 tonnes transported overland to ensure the aid reached those in dire need.

Engaging the Community

In a remarkable display of solidarity and compassion, 300 young Singaporeans came together earlier in March to assemble the aid packages. This communal effort underscored the deep-seated desire among Singaporeans to contribute positively to global humanitarian crises.

Ongoing Fundraising Efforts

With more than $350,000 pledged and nearly $250,000 already utilized for aid, “Humanity Matters” is not resting on its laurels. The charity has announced street collections on March 31 and April 7 as part of its continued commitment to supporting Gaza. This initiative, in partnership with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation, aims to mitigate the looming threat of famine and provide much-needed relief to the affected populations.

The charity’s work serves as a beacon of hope and a call to action for those who wish to make a difference in the lives of those suffering due to conflict. Contributions to these efforts are not just donations but lifelines to the people of Gaza.
