Singapore and Cambodia Sign Agreement on Digital Government Cooperation

On Tuesday (June 18), Singapore and Cambodia signed an agreement to enhance cooperation in the field of digital government. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to further collaboration and development in digital government initiatives between the two nations.

Signing Ceremony

The MoU was signed by Cambodia’s Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Chea Vandeth, and Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information, Janil Puthucheary, at the Istana. The signing ceremony was attended by Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet.

Hun Manet’s Official Visit

Dr. Hun Manet is making his first official visit to Singapore as the Prime Minister of Cambodia. On Tuesday afternoon, he received a ceremonial welcome at the Istana and later called on President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, according to a statement from Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). This visit underscores the strengthening ties between the two countries and their commitment to cooperation in various fields, including digital government.
