Apple Inc., the tech giant based in Cupertino, California, has acknowledged complaints about its latest iPhone 15 models overheating. Instagram, a subsidiary of Meta Platforms, has already made adjustments to its app to prevent it from causing the iPhone to overheat when running on the latest iOS. Other apps, such as the popular video game Asphalt 9 and ride-sharing giant Uber, are still in the process of releasing their updates. Apple has yet to provide a specific timeline for its software fix but has reassured users that there are no safety concerns preventing them from using their iPhone 15 devices in the interim.

The company has already experienced a decline in overall sales for three consecutive quarters. iPhone sales, in particular, have seen a 4% drop over the past nine months compared to the previous year.

In an attempt to boost sales, Apple has increased the starting price of its premium iPhone 15 Pro Max to $1,200, marking a 9% hike from last year’s model. However, concerns about Apple’s sales performance have already led to a loss of over $300 billion in shareholder value since the company’s market capitalization reached $3 trillion in late June.
