In a remarkable display of solidarity, over 300 young Singaporeans converged in Tampines on March 9. Their mission was to support the non-profit Humanity Matters in assembling aid packages aimed at providing relief to the children of Gaza.

Generous Contributions

The volunteer effort culminated in the preparation of 5,000 care packages, collectively valued at $100,000. Each carefully assembled package contained a backpack, an inflatable pillow, vitamin-enriched gummies, water bottles, a stress ball, a cuddly stuffed toy, and an assortment of snacks.

Journey to Aid

Scheduled for March 13, the shipment of these essential supplies will first make its way to Jordan, from where it will be transported to Gaza. This initiative is part of a broader wave of humanitarian assistance from Singapore, joining earlier contributions by entities like the Singapore Red Cross, all aimed at supporting the beleaguered population of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents.
