Singapore Airlines (SIA) is set to resume its flight services to three key Chinese cities – Chengdu, Chongqing, and Xiamen – starting April 22. Initially, the airline will operate five weekly flights to each destination until April 28, after which the frequency will be increased to daily flights for all three routes.
The temporary suspension of these services, which took effect from March 31 and will continue until April 21, was attributed to “regulatory reasons,” according to an SIA spokesperson. The specifics behind the regulatory issues were not disclosed. This resumption marks a significant step towards bolstering travel connections between Singapore and China, providing passengers with more options for travel to these popular destinations.
