Singapore Airlines has recently announced an increase in flights to Denpasar Bali, with the addition of a sixth daily service starting in July. This marks the highest regular frequency on the 1,037-mile airport route. The added flight comes a month after Emirates began using the A380 to Bali, but Singapore Airlines has confirmed that the additional service was planned beforehand.

The new daily flight, SQ948

The new daily flight, SQ948, will depart Singapore for Bali, with the return flight SQ949 taking passengers back to Singapore. The flights will be operated by the Boeing 737 MAX 8 and the schedule will be in place until October 28th.

Five Daily Bali Flights

According to data from 2019, Singapore Airlines and SilkAir previously had five daily Bali flights, carrying around 745,000 roundtrip passengers with a seat load factor of approximately 83%. About 73% of these passengers transited Changi, with Japan as the most popular country market for transit passengers, followed by India, Germany, UK, US, Switzerland, China, France, South Africa, and Thailand.

Bali Ranks Third Most-Served Route

With 344,000 seats for sale, Bali ranks as Singapore Airlines’ third most-served route, up from eighth in summer 2019. It serves 76 destinations globally, with Australia being the number one destination by seats for sale, followed by India, Indonesia, Japan, and Malaysia. The increase in flights to Bali is not only due to growth, but also due to the negative recoveries of other destinations, especially Hong Kong and Shanghai.
